As of June 2011, all new homes in BC (within 36 jurisdictions, including the Lower Mainland and the Squamish/Lillooet Regional District) must be built as “solar ready” in order to accommodate the installation of a solar domestic hot water system in the future.
Solar hot water systems utilize the sun’s energy to heat the water in your house – increasing the energy efficiency of your home and also qualifying you for many government rebates and incentives.
